Gnocchi di patate is a typical Italian dish. The original recipe of fresh gnocchi contains potatoes, "OO" flour and a pinch of salt. The potatoes are boiled and mashed, then mixed with the flour and expertly kneaded into oval balls. The gnocchi are easy to cook and ready when they surface. Instead of cooking them, you can also fry them in butter. The outside then becomes nice and crispy and nicely golden brown, the inside remains soft.
